Though I’ve seen a lot of Chevrolet El Caminos in town - and even another one in Oregon Hill, where I saw this one - this was the first second generation one I’d seen. It looks to be a ‘64.

I don’t think those mag wheels were standard, but they sure give the appearance of mean to this car. The other cool thing is the similarity of the checkered flag badge to the one that I’d only ever associated with the Corvettes.

It’s no wonder that the Ford Ranchero lost out to this. This is a much cooler car.
